Central Plateau

Overview

Life Education Trust Central Plateau (formerly Taupo-Ruapehu) was rebranded in 2015 after increasing our region to include Tirau, Putaruru and Tokoroa schools. We travel throughout the Central Plateau also encompassing Taupo, Turangi, Kurutau, through to National Park and the  wider Taumarunui area.

With a significant number of low decile schools, we are proud to be able to support staff by providing our specialist health education programme to the children throughout each year at a very low fee, because of the support of our local community.

As a charity the Trust functions because of the donations and grants received, and is dependent on these to continue to deliver our service to our children through our highly skilled educator, and modern learning environment –the mobile classroom.

If you require more information or would like to support our trust please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Our Educator - Leiset Gregory

Leiset started working as a teacher aide at her own children’s school and became very passionate and interested in education. She studied at Waikato University and began her very fulfilling role as a teacher. Leiset believed her job was to teach children to “reach for the stars”, and never to under estimate their ability.

She remembered the first time being in the Harold bus with her class and sitting their thinking, one day this will be me. Here she is today, excited, passionate to be teaching in the schools, and get to know the teachers and children in the Central Plateau. The message Harold wants to share is clear, Lets works together to pay it forward.
