Life Education Trust Central Plateau (formerly Taupo-Ruapehu) was rebranded in 2015 after increasing our region to include Tirau, Putaruru and Tokoroa schools. We travel throughout the Central Plateau also encompassing Taupo, Turangi, Kurutau, through to National Park and the wider Taumarunui area.
With a significant number of low decile schools, we are proud to be able to support staff by providing our specialist health education programme to the children throughout each year at a very low fee, because of the support of our local community.
As a charity the Trust functions because of the donations and grants received, and is dependent on these to continue to deliver our service to our children through our highly skilled educator, and modern learning environment –the mobile classroom.
If you require more information or would like to support our trust please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Our Educator - Crispian Rakels Central Plateau Trust welcomed Crispian Rakels as the educator for the region in January 2024. Crispian grew up in Cambridge, attending primary, intermediate and high school in Cambridge. He trained in Hamilton as a Chef, working his way around the country before meeting his wife in Whakatane, then settling in Rotorua and becoming a Dad to two daughters. He volunteers his time with Scouting NZ and is an active member of 1st Ngongotaha as the assistant group leader. In 2012 he decided to train as a Teacher and on completing his Bachelor of Teaching began teaching in Tokoroa. After seeing first hand the impact of Life Education and the messages that Harold and the educator taught, he decided that this was right up alley and when the position became available he went for it. |
